one of the things I love most about the military life is the sense of camaraderie.
more specifically my coffee group.
we meet once a month and always have the best time!
last night we had an ornament exchange and a yummy soup dinner.
the wind was insanely blustery {think 50-60 mph}
and soup was the perfect accompaniment.
oh and I always learn the most interesting things.
more specifically the things that my husband tells other husbands...
like that I can have an LDM and get kind of mean. pffft. men!
I get dancy and then kinda mean ;)

{of course, it's all balanced because you know we gossip about the hubs too.
especially now that they're home and the post-deployment glow is starting to wear off.
the ACU's scattered about and random piles of junk? not as cute anymore.}
anyway...
I got this adorable ornament.
I got this adorable ornament.
even better? I'd totally eyed it at Pier 1 but knew Ty would be like leopard? pfft.
so the fact that I "won it" and "had" to take it home?
the perfect excuse. and I only had to steal it once for it to be mine. woot!
and since I'm on the Christmas tree topic...
our tree is no longer topless!
I made a bow for it.
the tree
and a random slipper. it's whatevs.
ok, now I need to stop procrastinating and start tackling my gigantic list of pre-party to do's!

My Mom puts a bow on her tree too as a topper...I'm thinking I'll ditch my pretty bronze star that we got at Target four years ago, next year, and go for a bow or something. I don't know. I'm always surprised when I hear the stuff that Paul tells people about me. Usually it's about how great I am...and I'm like, "You can't tell me that to my face?" lol...
You're doing better than me, with presents already wrapped under the tree. I plan on getting some wrapped tonight. I'm trying to make a Friday night at home sound fun to Bree.
good job on the bow. looks adorable!! cute ornament. i think it's awesome that you have a group.
dudu. your like martha stewart. a bow? for a second i thought you were gonna say you made that ornament too.
CUTE ornament! And I LOVE the bow you made!! :o)
I think that is great you have a group to get together with! One of the benefits of having your man gone...to hand with other woman who deal with the same thing! Your tree looks great...but I love your bright festive wrapping paper...I just want to rip them open! :)
Love your tree. Army wives are the only thing I miss about army life. :)
It sure doesn't take long for the glow to wear off, does it, but that totally made me laugh! I love, love, love that ornament, and I love how you get out and do things for YOU!
That tree bow is AWESOME!!!
Looks gorgeous!
Also I love the ornament.
Our angel is too heavy for our little tree. Maybe I should put on bow on it! Brilliant!
I LOVE that ornament!
I'm gonna have to start using an acronym dictionary for your posts :)
So funny that you got the ornament you originally wanted!
And your tree is lovely - you are waaaay on top of things!
